We are working with Unison Ltd building a streamliner motorbike to break the land speed record. They have the technology to help us succeed – for example they really know how to bend the tubing we are using to make the critical safety cage. Watch the video and hear Gabriel explain the latest contribution from Union Ltd.

We are pleased to announce that David Brown in our electronics group has now got some special state of the art design software from Premier EDA Solutions Ltd.  Altium will be very useful and help us towards the success of the project:

3D capability – to assist in visualising how it all packages together, without mechanical clash
Tight integration with mechanical design – for enclosures etc. and minimising space
Version control – to ensure compatibility across the team
Simulation – to speed up the design process

T.M.A. Engineering from Birmingham have agreed to machine the rear hub for us, so thanks to Tudor for sorting it out and getting the material to them.

Our next show will be the BMF Show at Peterborough Showground. It is on the 19th and 20th May.

Unison continue to help us where they can. At the show they allowed their own camera team to take a series of photographs on the Monday, and then let their own film team interview me for publicity. A big thanks to Alan and the team.

Tim Howes from NGK came to see me, and reiterated his wish to provide help where they can. We discussed a few ideas that could work.

Lasertubes have agreed to cut all the tubes for the chassis. Rosler UK are very interested in helping us reduce friction by treating our gears and the gearbox. Renishaw have expressed interest in providing some prototype pieces using additive technology. T.M.A. Engineering have agreed to help us with some machining if they can. We also have a chance to get some special gears made for the engine from mini gears. Sandvik are keen to help, but are not sure yet how they can get involved.
