Bob Tait, who has generously let Angelic Bulldog use his patented offset hub centre steering designs for its front wheel, has a remarkable bike in the current Classic Bike of the Year (CBOTY) competition. He has told us that if he wins he will donate £100 to the project.

Bobs bike has an engine designed and built by him, a three cylinder 750cc two stroke, with one forward and two upright pots. Originally put in a trail bike (!!) it has been relocated to a Seeley racing frame and is the most remarkable machine in this years competition.

If you know anything about Bobs personal circumstances you will know this machine is a victory of engineering vision and enthusiasm over adversity.One day his story will be told.

Expo Show visit

Gary and Owen from Genspeed kindly gave me a lift to the NEC for the Expo Show on Monday. I met several new companies who may come on board.

I also met Troy Corser, the superbike rider, and ex-world champion. What a nice bloke! It was pleasure to talk to him.

North Lindsey College event

I will have the project at North Lindsey College on Friday, 10th February.

They are keen to help us, and are forming a partnership with us for mutual benefits. More will be revealed later!

Derby College Engineering show, February 7th and 8th

We have been invited to attend the Derby College activities on the 7th and 8th February. We will have the Angelic Bulldog Project streamliner plus several other machines to show.

There will be all sorts of activities going on during Tuesday, with the evening open to the public.

I will be putting on talks on the Wednesday.

There will also be a business breakfast on Wednesday morning.

Advanced Fuel Systems to make our fuel cell

Jonathan at Advanced Fuel Systems was pleased to see me at the Autosports Show, and they are waiting to make our fuel cell.

I spoke to several other firms who expressed an interest in sponsoring us, so I hope they come on board the project because it will help decrease the financial load.

Engine starter and superchargers sorted

Jason and Mick at Eurolec are busy sorting out our engine starter system, so thanks to them. Had a good discussion with them at the Autosports show, and they are keen to help us.

Kevin Samujh has come up trumps and paid for the superchargers, so thanks Kevin, you are a star!

Rotrex are sorting out the practicalities with Dan and then they can be delivered!

Gary at Genspeed has sorted out the generator I have just bought and checked it all over for me, so thanks to him, Owen and Jaiden.

I bought the two fuel pumps today, and they arrive tomorrow! Also Kevin Samujh has promised to buy us the two superchargers! Yippee!!

I spoke to Gary at Genspeed on Tuesday, and he has ordered the steel to make the test exhausts. Sam is going to make the collars, and then they can be taken down to be installed. Another piece of the jigsaw.

Team meeting, 8th January.

The team had a very good meeting on Sunday. Then main news is that Metalcraft have started to machine the wheels. They have agreed to also machine the hubs, so finally this aspect has been settled.

The chassis looks superb now that Stu has got the stabiliser legs mounted. The engine just needs a couple of mounts fitting, and the chain runs are fine, which was a little worrying previously because we knew it was going to be tight.

The team discussed how to make better progress, and with everyone pulling together things will happen quickly.
